Kindergarten to 5th Grade Enrollment Application
Download a copy of the enrollment applications for our FREE Kindergarten through 5th Grade elementary school. Applications must be received at Ridgeway Community School by January 31, 2025 in order to be included in a lottery for the 2025-26 school year. Should the number of applications exceed the number of spaces available in any grade, the Kindergarten to 5th Grade class sizes limit is 18 students per classroom. Ridgeway Community School gives enrollment preference in our K-5 classes to siblings of currently enrolled K-5 students and children of RCS staff in accordance with Minnesota State Charter School Law. After January 31st any remaining spaces in the school's K-5 classrooms are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND FORMS NEEDED: Once your child's enrollment application has been accepted, based on available space in his or her class, the following additional forms and documents will be requested:
Ridgeway Community School Registration Form - This form will provide the school's administration additional information necessary to set your child up in our student records management system.
Request for Student Records - Please complete this form so that we can request a copy of your child's Early Childhood Screening if they are entering Kindergarten, and/or records from their previous school if they are they attended a preschool other than Ridgeways, or are enrolling in 1st to 5th grade.
Immunizations: (includes a list of required immunizations). Ridgeway Community School’s immunization policy states that all students need to be up to date with their immunizations or have a notarized waiver on file at the school office in order to begin school in the fall. This form, or a copy of your child’s immunization records, can be faxed to the school from your child’s doctor. The school's fax number is 507-454-9567.
Home Language Survey: This form provides documentation of the language spoken in your home and is required by the Minnesota Department of Education.
Ethnic and Racial Demographic Designation Form: This form provides documentation of your child's racial and ethnic identity and is required by the Minnesota Department of Education.
Birth Certificate - A copy of your child's legal birth certificate is needed to document their age.
If your child is transferring from another K-5 Minnesota Public School some of these records may be provided with the records from their previous school and you will not have to provide them again.
